Skye Salley
Skye Salley is an outdoor athlete, wilderness guide, and facilitator whose work centers on the intersection of physical challenge, personal transformation, and the natural world.
For years, Skye has pursued demanding environments as a training ground for resilience and self-discovery. His background includes extensive experience in 14ers, backpacking, mountaineering, alpine travel, rock climbing, and backcountry skiing, along with guiding hikes, runs, and wilderness expeditions.
He holds:
– Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification
– Avalanche Level 1 certification
– A-Level Skydiving License
– A parachute rigging certificate
– Currently pursuing professional training through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA).
Alongside his mountain pursuits, Skye has spent more than a decade studying human movement through martial arts and functional movement practice, drawing inspiration from the work of movement teacher Ido Portal.
He is also a dedicated student of depth psychology and the philosophy of individuation developed by Carl Jung. Skye is continuing formal study in Jungian psychology while integrating its insights into his retreat work.
He designs retreats as modern rites of passage that combine wilderness adventure, movement training, and meaningful dialogue. His retreats invite participants to step beyond comfort, reconnect with nature, and rediscover the strength and clarity that emerge through challenge.
